Vodafone ditching Blackberries/UIQ?

Well, probably not, but they have just stated Windows joins Symbian S60 and Linux as the other approved OS for Voda handsets over the next 5 years - though they'll happily carry other OSs onlow-end handsets. Maybe I'm missing something here, but doesn't that just mean that they'll continue business as usual, with maybe a few more Windows devices and a few less UIQs and Blackberries?

Seems like an excuse for a press release for me, but a minor win for MS given that Vodafone haven't really jumped on the rebadged Windows bandwagon to date.
